Student/Teacher Social

To celebrate FBLA week, and thank the faculty and staff for supporting North County's FBLA chapter, we had a successful social. We invited everyone from the principal to the custodians to come and join us after school in the cafeteria for cake and coffee. In order to thank the advisors for doing such a good job we gave them roses and carnations. The secretaries were given flowers on Monday to show them appreciation along with publicizing and celebrating National FBLA Week.

Six Flags

On October 7th we went to Six Flags, New Jersey as a form of membership recruitment. Everyone had a great time enjoying the fall atmosphere. As a result of this trip, 50 plus members were recruited to join FBLA. Needless to say, it was a success. Because of this trip, North County's FBLA chapter was asked to do a workshop on "Membership Recruitment". We are one of the largest chapters in the state.

Santa and His Little Elves

FBLA joins the Business Computer Club in helping a family in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. On Dec 21, the officers, Mary, Derek, Stefanie, Dan, Angela, Brooke, and Navjot went on a field trip to Hilltop Elementary School as a community service project. Derek portrayed Santa Claus and all the other officers were elves. They visited each grade spreading cheer by giving out candy canes to each of the students. Parliamentarian Brooke Wilson read The Night Before Christmas to all the classes in the Media Center. The officers received a Thank You letter for their act of good deed from the principal of Hilltop Elementary and a request to return to help with Career Education.
